Internship Role:
Working under our Engineers you will learn skills related Linux, Asterisk, VoIP technology and
Network Engineering. You will be required to open trouble tickets and articulate customer request to our Engineers. As you learn our systems you will take on greater responsibilities, including site preparation, PC hardware setup, and assist with Linux & VoIP troubleshooting.
Requirements:
VoiceIP Solutions is seeking students actively enrolled in a Network Administration, Computer Science, Systems Admin program or recent graduates of such programs who are looking to gain on the job experience. You don’t need a car, but reliable transportation to and from work/school is a must. A successful candidate needs to be punctual and professional.
A qualified candidate must have a strong desire to learn about (and work on) VoIP, Linux, other OSes, and scripting. You must know the OSI model inside and out. You should understand in a functional way, basic TCP/IP. Previous experience in a customer service related job (like retail, call center, reception, etc) is desired. Solid reference as to your written and spoken word is desired as you will be interacting directly with customers.
Technical skills ? ‘Desire to Learn’:
Basic PC hardware know-how(can you build a PC from scratch? Are you familiar with multiple
Operating Systems(OSX, flavors of Windows, mobile smart-phones & Linux)? At home, do you spend free time working on technology related projects; just for fun?

$12.00/hour
Term:
Six month internship, The Program begins October 1st and ends April 1st. Exceptional
candidates may be offered a permanent part-time position on completion of internship.
