Metric Collection

A PBX can keep track of metrics related to phone calls, and display the information in the form of charts, graphs, and tables. Results can be tied to billing automatically via database integration and custom programming. Long distance minutes within your organization for example be billed for at the appropriate rate. How long a call lasted, where it came from, what the caller id was, which queue it went to, how long the call stayed in the queue before being answered, and many other numbers can be tracked.

Graphs

Graphs can display and compare data gathered from different time frames. A few examples would be the number off calls during a given hour, or minutes actually spent on the phone during a given hour.

Tables

The details collected about calls can be listed in tables, and sorted by different metrics. All call originating from a certain point can be viewed for example, or any call lasting over an hour.
